Immigration Advice and Application Assistance (IAAAS)
The IAAAS Program enables MRC North to provide support systems to new migrants who have left behind family members.
The IAAAS Program is available to people who have arrived lawfully in Australia and who meet specific eligibility criteria with respect to disadvantage. Individual applicants must be disadvantaged both financially and in another, specific way.
The IAAAS Program is funded by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection. MRC North is the Registered Migration Agent for Northern Tasmania and provides free services including professional migration advice, visa application assistance for complex immigration matters, completion and submission of visa applications, liaison with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection and explanations of the outcomes of visa decisions.
The most requested visa applications are Partner Visas (partners), Special Humanitarian Program and Family Violence Provision Visas (family members). The length of time for processing these visa applications ranges from eight months to three years.
“I want to thank the Australian Government for welcoming me here but there is no meaning until I have my family here – my children cry when I telephone them, they want to see me and do not understand why they can’t be with me.” -MRC North client
