Carer Support Services

There are over 2.65 million carers in Australia from all different cultures and backgrounds that provide unpaid support to their family and friends. Carers look after family members and friends with a disability, a mental or physical illness or who are frail aged. They help others with everyday tasks such as personal care, attending appointments and taking medication and provide emotional or financial support

How can MRC assist carers?

MRC North works with Care2Serve to assist culturally and linguistically diverse carers to access supports such as counselling, information and advice, financial assistance, respite and peer support.

We also work to raise awareness within communities about carers and the supports that are available to them.

Our goal is to support carers by positively changing their lives so that their own needs both physically and emotionally are met.
