Drive4Life Driver Mentoring

MRC’s Drive4Life program gives independence to migrants by helping them learn to drive.

A driver’s licence provides the opportunity for people to gain independence.

MRC offers free driving tuition to people of diverse backgrounds in Launceston through the Drive4Life program. Drive4Life helps with gaining L2 through to P1 for people needing assistance gaining mandatory hours of practice.

Sign up for the program

The Drive4Life program has dedicated volunteers providing driving tuition in dual-controlled vehicles. The demand for driving tuition is normally quite high so there may be a wait of a few months before you are allocated a mentor.  However, come into MRC and put your name down, or register your interest using our contact form and we will let you know when a space becomes available.

We can also tell you about converting your International License and provide access to online practice tests.  The Drive4Life program is funded by the Department of State Growth.
